Our Story

My name is Melissa and I am an Occupational Therapist with over 9 years’ experience in rehabilitation and personal injury Insurance. My passion is to see people return to their lives and have a positive rehabilitation experience following an injury.

I believe in always focusing on someone’s "CAPACITY" rather than their "INCAPACITY" as this enables their recovery. I am driven to find solutions that encourage someone to return to their meaningful activities.

I have extensive knowledge in the Personal Injury NSW Compulsory Third Party scheme. I am currently consulting as an Injury Management Advisor at an International Insurer.

I’m passionate, enthusiastic, and proactive about driving rehabilitation outcomes and providing expert injury management advice to industry peers.

I have also worked as a Rehabilitation Consultant focusing on return to work and return to function following an injury, as well as injury prevention.

Over the years, I have worked collaboratively with various service providers and stakeholders such as Medical Practitioners, Allied Health Professionals and Rehabilitation Providers.

During my experience, I saw some gaps between the stakeholders involved in an individual's rehabilitation. I found that they were lacking an understanding of the NSW Compulsory Third Party (CTP) scheme as well as the needs of the Insurer to improve a person’s rehabilitation following an injury, whilst still achieving positive outcomes.

I am dedicated to utilise my knowledge to support industry peers and provide strategies to provide optimal rehabilitation services.

I strongly believe in unity and believe a collaborative approach to identify common goals is the best practice for optimal rehabilitation and recovery. This is why I established OneRehab.
